PERSPEX® Acrylic Gives Light to Adidas Logo

The famous Trefoil logo created from PERSPEX® acrylic

Leading UK sign makers, Sign Here who specialise in the production of built up letters and logos, were approached by Mynt (design and branding agency), to help produce a fully laminated built up Adidas Trefoil logo. The logo was to feature on a 520m2 exhibition stand at Bread and Butter, an International tradeshow for Modern Urban Lifestyle, held in Berlin.

A CNC machine was used to cut into PERSPEX® Opal 050 5mm thick acrylic sheet to create the faces and returns of the logo. Avery blue translucent vinyls matching the exact colour required were applied to the faces and back trays with 160 mounted white LED modules to give full illumination to the faces and returns.

For ease of installation, Sign Here provided a fixing template to enable the on-site fitters to easily line up with pre-drilled fixing bars. The final Adidas logo measured a mammoth 3148 x 3061mm.

Paul Bisikier, Project Manager from Sign Here commented “We are particularly proud of this job as it was for an Adidas exhibition stand, and quite often we are tied by client confidentiality. It was a lovely job to make from beginning to end and PERSPEX® brand acrylic has never let us down. It is a material we always enjoy working with.
